Tokujin Yoshioka, recipient of the 2011 Wallpaper Design Award, has produced a tile system for Italian porcelain manufacturer Mutina. The Phenomenon collection is comprised of large format porcelain tiles and intricate mosaics inspired by irregular textures found in nature like snow, honey-comb and rain. Yoshioka’s Phenomenon porcelains are available in a range of 3 colours and both random and linear textures. His integration of small ceramics with beautiful textures create both depth and expanses, which evoke one’s memory of the scenery in nature.......
